They knew each other in high school, but began dating over 9 years ago when a mutual friend paired them together. On Valentine’s Day, Josh surprised Rebecca with a sunset picnic on the beach. Little did she know, there was a gorgeous diamond ring in the basket waiting for her to say “Yes!” to Josh’s proposal!
Rebecca and I have been very close friends since sophomore year of high school (which was almost a decade ago), and I was SO honored when she asked me to be her photographer. Fun fact about us, we got engaged two days apart and are having fun talking all things wedding together as we both plan our big days!
Since Josh proposed to Rebecca on the beach, it was only appropriate for their engagement photos to include the beach as well! While we were planning their session, we came across Gasparilla Island State Park, and knew it would be the perfect location for them. The lighthouse at the park is so unique! We had SO much fun and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention, I have never laughed so hard during an engagement session! These two are perfect for each other in every way, and the love they display for one another is so sweet. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next March!
Here are some of my favorites from their Gasparilla Island Engagement Session! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Rebecca and Josh, thank you for trusting me to capture this special and exciting time in your life!
