Rebecca + Josh’s gorgeous spring wedding at The Pavilion at Mixon Farms was the last wedding I photographed before the coronavirus postponed everything, and it’s giving me all the feels today as I delivered their final gallery to them! It was such a perfect day, and I am so honored to have been a part of their special day- as the photographer AND a bridesmaid! Yes, you read that right!

Rebecca and I have been close friends since high school, and I was so excited when she asked me to be a part of her bridal party! (Fun fact, she is in mine, too!) About a week later, she called me and said “Leslie, I couldn’t imagine having anyone else capture our day other than you, do you think you could photograph our wedding too?” and I immediately answered “Of course!” As the wedding approached, I had many people asking me how I was going to manage both roles. And the answer is simple- the power of having a second photographer on the wedding day! Any of the group photos that I would be in, my assistant photographer would capture.

Their wedding day was SO perfect in every way. It was a gorgeous Florida spring day, when the weather wasn’t too hot and there was a nice breeze. It was my first time photographing at The Pavilion at Mixon Farms, and it was so unique! Surrounded by fruit groves and sunshine, it offered a unique experience for Rebecca + Josh’s guests! During cocktail hour, the guests got to go on a tram ride through the groves! Fresh sunflowers included in their florals and touches of light blue were the perfect combination of southern charm for a spring Florida wedding!

Rebecca + Josh, I could not be happier for the two of you. 10 years later, you are finally Mr. and Mrs. and I hope your day was everything you could have dreamed of and more!
