Graduation Portrait Session | Jade

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. I’ve had the honor of knowing Jade for about 4 years now. She and her husband Tyler hired me in 2016 to photograph their family portraits for the holidays, and I instantly realized I was gaining a friend. Each year since then, I have photographed their sweet family, and I also had the privilege of photographing their engagement session and wedding last year. I was SO excited when Jade asked me to photograph her graduation portraits this year!

Jade has been a hair stylist for several years, but her true passion is graphic design. Might I add she is a GREAT stylist too (I’m very picky with my hair and she always kills it!) While working full time, raising her family, and planning her wedding, Jade completed her degree! She is one smart, kind, selfless woman who I am so blessed to know. She just recently announced that her time of being a salon owner is coming to an end and the next chapter of her career is beginning. I could not be more proud of her.

Unfortunately her graduation ceremony was cancelled due to the coronavirus, but I was so happy the stay at home order was lifted in time for us to be able to do her session (while following social distancing guidelines, of course). We also had to include some portraits with her mask on to capture the reality of how this time will be remembered. My heart goes out to all of the graduates who are not able to have their ceremonies this year!

We had the BEST time capturing Jade’s graduation portraits in Downtown Ocala on an early Sunday morning! I have honestly never laughed so much during as a session than I did during this session. I am so excited to share some of my favorites from Jade’s graduation portrait session with you all today!
