Engagements

Sarah + Casey are engaged! I had the honor of photographing their engagement session last week at Washington Oaks State Park, and oh my gosh, was it absolute perfection, minus one little encounter with a BIG snake!

At the beginning of every session, I always tell my clients two very important things: have fun, and yell at me if you see any kind of wildlife moving behind me (I am TERRIFIED of snakes). Literally 90 seconds after I said this, we crossed paths with a ginormous snake in the walkway, and I just about had a heart attack. Thankfully, Casey wasn’t afraid of them and walked ahead of Sarah and I to scare it off. Groom to the rescue!

I just love hearing how my couples met, and I think Sarah + Casey’s is one of my favorites! Casey told me “We met at waffle house, and the next day I slid into her DM’s. The rest is history!” The way he said it was just so fun, and I loved how simple his story was. These two are one of the sweetest (and most stylish) couples I have met, and I am so excited for these two to tie the knot soon!

When Sarah told me they wanted to have their session at Washington Oaks State Park, I was SO excited. It is truly one of the most gorgeous parks I have been to in the state of Florida. By looking at these portraits, you would never know that an afternoon thunderstorm took place about 10 minutes after our session finished, or that it was a nice and warm 93 degrees outside with a heat index of 103. These two absolutely crushed it!! I did not believe them when they told me it was their first photo session together- they were pros!
