Maria + James’ Fort DeSoto Engagement Session was EXACTLY what my heart needed when I was having a rough week. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen that my sweet Aunt has been diagnosed with cancer. I have been with her for every appointment since her diagnosis. The day of Maria + James’ session, I had spent the entire morning driving between doctors offices to get things taken care of for her. I was tired, frustrated, and sad that the healthcare system can be so complicated sometimes.

I’m sitting in the parking lot, and this adorable couple, full of smiles pulls up. Maria runs to greet me with a hug and I felt like I was hugging a lifelong friend! My heart truly needed this. The time I spent with them turned my day around tremendously! Maria + James live in Pennsylvania, but travel down to the gulf coast for their annual summer vacation. It was so special they wanted to do their engagement photos at the beach. A place that was special to them!

Let me tell you… these two said they had never taken professional photos together before, but they CRUSHED their engagement session. They were naturals, and the way they look at each other is precious. They had me smiling and laughing the entire time! Florida was certainly showing off with a dreamy, romantic sunset that evening, too. It was truly picture perfect in every way.
