What's a Personality Mini?

you may be thinking

I like to describe it as a super fun, giggly headshot session for children! When I started offering these mini sessions in 2023, my goal was to capture your child in a fun, simple, and classic way.

Children change so much, so fast, as do their personalities! These sessions are very laid back and not overly posed to capture the most candid moments of your little one's true personality: the giggles, the scrunched nose laugh, and the silly, scary faces they love to make. Because one day, they'll just be memories. So let's capture them, for you to have forever!

Love Notes

from previous clients

"Working with Leslie is a dream come true. My daughter looks forward to each photo session, and it's a guarantee that every single one of the images will be magical!"

"Our kids absolutely loved working with Leslie! My kids never smile for pictures, but the way she made the experience so magical and special, made them so comfortable and happy!"

"We absolutely love working with Leslie! We've done several different photoshoots with her, but the personality minis are still some of our favorites! She was so good at making our son feel comfortable and relaxed, so she could capture his personality perfectly!"

"Leslie is great at connecting with children and making them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whether its by relating to their favorite characters or showing them how the camera works between shots, she moves from stranger to friend with ease and it makes a huge difference in the photos she's able to capture."

"Seamless! The best photos I have of my daughter are the ones that you have taken of her!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes! A $50 nonrefundable retainer payment (per child) is due at the time of booking, along with a signed contract. Spots are not fully reserved until both the contract and payment have been received. Your remaining balance is due one week prior to your session(s). For your convenience, all payments are made electronically via HoneyBook, my secure contract & invoice system.

Q: How many family members are allowed to participate in the session?

Q: How many images will I receive?

There is no set number of images you will receive- you will get all of them! I guarantee a minimum of 10 images per child, but most galleries end up being more than that. The number of images in your final gallery will depend upon the participation and cooperation of your children.

Q: How long will it take to get my final gallery?

You will receive your full gallery within 10 days of your session! Due to the quick turnaround time of mini sessions, sneak peek photos will not be given, but you'll have them all within 10 days! Your gallery will be delivered to you via email, and it will be password protected. You will have full rights to the photos, so you may print, post and distribute them however you would like.

Q: What if my child is shy, will we still get good photos?

Do not stress! Even the shyest children tend to warm up to me after a few minutes. I have over 8 years of photography experience, and nannied littles for over 14 years. We will play peek-a-boo, sing their favorite songs, or talk to them about their favorite character to get them to warm up!

Q: If I have multiple children, can we get a photo of them all together?

Yes, absolutely! While the majority of the time will be spent getting each of their little individual personalities, we can grab a few quick photos of them all together- whether there are 2 or 5 siblings!

Q: Do I need to bring anything to the session?

No! Unless your child is under the age of 1 and has a toy that particularly grabs their attention, I would suggest leaving everything in the car! Often times, if the child walks in with a toy, they are more likely to want to keep it and not let go of it as a comfort measurement. We don't want to make them upset by taking it from them if you don't want it in the pictures! If you are wanting them to have a specific stuffed animal or a sentimental toy with them, then that is fine- but I would suggest not bringing anything that you don't want included in photos!

Q: Can I get the photos in Black & White, in addition to color?

Absolutely! The final gallery consist of all the images in color. If you'd like your gallery edited in Black & White as well, I am happy to do so for an additional fee of $50. You don't have to decide on this now- you can wait and see the gallery first!

Q: Can I print the images with larger companies, like Smallwoods Home?

You sure can! With the final gallery, you have all rights to the images, so you may print them however you would like! For your convenience, I do offer prints that can be purchased straight from your online gallery, but you can certainly print elsewhere.

Q: Is there an age limit?

The Personality Mini sessions are for children only (18 and under) and each child requires their own time spot. This includes siblings, cousins, and family friends.

Not at all! These sessions are for children of all ages 0-18. In fact, it's so fun to capture the variety of ages! It's recommended that your child be able to sit up on their own, but if needed, we can lay them down on a blanket if they are still very little!

behind the camera

It's me, Hi!

Meet Leslie

I have had the honor and privilege of photographing hundreds of families over the last 8 years. While I primarily photograph weddings, there is something so special about photographing children and families that just warm my heart. Children grow up in the blink of an eye, and it's such a special feeling being able to freeze a moment in time for parents.

Before I started my photography business, I was a nanny for over 14 years to babies of all ages. The time I spent with those beautiful babies truly shaped me into the woman I am today and contributed to my love of photographing children.
